We have started to make some of the interior doors. It has been just over one year since we started to live here and finally we will have a proper door on the toilet!

What kind of door is good for this building… This building was originally a workshop, let’s make English period industrial doors.

After cutting and planing the timber to size we went on to jointing the door. Above shows the process of gluing up and assembling the door. It was a little challenging part of the job with the sun out. The glue was drying too fast, work quicker Dom!

A key feature of the doors was to use some old textured glass we had been saving. And we chose Blue for the doors! It took a few tries to mix blue and black paints to make a right color we were hoping for. With a bit of trial and error, we finally got it!
